Allergy cross-check

On the Menu tab, what you've planned is checked against what parents have told you their children can't eat, and possible clashes are flagged with the child's name and their own words. If you attach recipes to a meal, their ingredients are read too — so an Eton mess flags milk even though the word “cream” never appears in the menu.

Please read this for what it is. It can only ever spot a possible problem, and it never clears a meal. It matches words against a list: both the menu and a recipe's ingredients are things a person typed, and neither knows about the celery in a stock cube, the brand of mayonnaise, or what a pan touched. Anything a parent wrote that it can't interpret is shown separately for you to read yourself, and “nothing spotted” means nothing was spotted — not that a meal is safe.
