The standard list of checks
Rather than starting from an empty page, hit Add from the standard list and pick from 39 recurring checks drawn from the Scouts' Safe Scouting Premises Audit — fire alarm servicing, PAT, EICR, gas, legionella, asbestos, ladders, play equipment, tree surveys and the rest. There's also a monthly meter reading, which the audit doesn't ask for but which catches leaks and waste. Tell it whether the hall has a kitchen, showers, grounds or is a campsite and it only offers what applies. Each one arrives as an ordinary item you can rename, re-time or delete.
The intervals are a starting point, not a legal minimum. Several of these checks have no interval fixed in law at all — the law says keep it safe and leaves the frequency to your risk assessment. So every check shows where its number comes from, whether that's an Act, a British Standard, official guidance or just common practice, and that reasoning is copied into the item's notes. There is no legal annual PAT test, for instance, however often you have heard otherwise. Confirm the intervals with your own competent person before relying on them.
If you rent your hall from a church or a school, tick the box that says so. Most of these are your landlord's to hold, not yours, and you get a much shorter list — the certificates to ask them for a copy of, so you can record the date you saw each one.
