What Trustees is for
Trustees keeps a Scout group's Trustee Board on top of what it's responsible for. The list comes from Scouts' own Trustee Board team description and its meeting agenda prompts: the budget and reserves, policies and the law, buildings and insurance, risk, safeguarding and learning, the board itself, and the AGM.
It shares its sign-in and group with the other Tools for Scouting apps, so if your group already uses one, sign in with the same email and your group is there.
Start with Settings. Give it your financial year end, whether you're a registered charity, your income and whether you have premises. Every date in Trustees hangs off those.
For Group and District boards in England and Wales. Choose which in Settings. A District board also gets a duty to check how its Groups are getting on, networking for Group trustees, and AGM steps for sending its accounts to the County Treasurer and naming its County Scout Council representatives. County boards, and Scotland and Northern Ireland, are coming.
